Introduction to yoga in a fully explained class. 101 is perfect for the beginning student or the practiced yogi working to hone their existing practice, master poses and proper alignment. The focus is on the fundamentals of poses, basic breathing technique, fuller concentration, and relaxation. This class will restore energy and reduce stress.

Flowing sequences that integrate traditional poses are linked together by breath and incorporate (optional) arm balances and inversions. The vigorous flows are set to loud, upbeat music in a heated room to increase the detoxification of the body through sweating. Challenge yourself so you can face the day or night with confidence and calm. Students are encouraged to work at their own level. We offer modifications and encourage intensification in each class. An invigorating traditional sequence of poses that blend the primary and secondary series. Traditional Yoga music is played to help attune the bodies natural energies. Ashtanga develops strength, stamina and flexibility. This practice calms the mind to reduce stress and balances the body’s ability to heal.
Simplified for new students or those returning after a break. A fully guided practice so you can focus on the basic postures of the ashtanga primary series. Learn sun salutations, experiment with standing postures, work on balancing, energize the spine with back bends and forward folds, stretch in seated poses, and conquer fear with an introduction to inversions. Finishing class with a nice savasana (resting meditation).
A guided meditation class. Focus on the 7 main chakras, energy wheels along the spine. Direct your thoughts and energy into these areas to release tension and stress and to relax the mind.
Great for beginners, students returning from a long break, or students coming out of physical therapy.
Gentle postures with slow transitions between them. Each posture is held (8-10 breaths) to release tightness in the body and slowly build strength in the muscles.

1/2 the class is Yin, long held postures (2-5 min) to release stress and lengthen muscles. props are encouraged.
